Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. (Habakkuk 3:17-18)
Things aren’t always rosy and cheery, BUT things can always be good in God. It’s a perspective. A matter of where you place your hope, of what to surrender and to whom. If everything fails, God will not.
I totally get it. I was listening to the radio this morning and the DJ said she was cranky and was just warning everyone who happened to be in her path. I can relate to that – but at the same time – your right – it’s all in our perspective. We think we have no control sometimes – but we do. We can choose to continue to be cranky and let everyone deal with it, or we can fake it til we make it – or we can do the easiest/hardest thing – let it go and let God take care of it! Sounds so easy – but as a woman I make it so difficult for not only others but mostly myself. Thanks for the scripture. Today I choose to rejoice in the Lord and be joyful in God my Savior.
I’m with you Karla, I’m totally with you.
