If Jesus began a work in you, please teach us how you allow the Author to continue writing the sequel in your life through the Holy Spirit and prove himself alive?

I just ask---It’s that simple. {We have not because we ask not! James 4:2} When I die to myself daily and let His Spirit work, I stand in awe of what the Holy Spirit does through me. And that power is available to everyone who has the faith of a mustard seed. Allowing the Holy Spirit to work inside of me is what I personally desire each day so that I can become smaller and smaller and GOD bigger and bigger. Also, when I read the Bible, I substitute my name and that makes God's voice become more personal, intimate, and alive.

1 John 5:14-15 says: This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to HIS will, HE hears us. And if we know that HE hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of HIM.

Share some practical ways to live a life that counts, to be immersed by the Spirit of God, and dead to selfishness?

PRAY: I begin each day in the Word of God. It sets the tone for the day. If you think you don’t have time for God think about this: You always find time for the important things in life; if GOD is important, you will make the time available. God created me for HIS pleasure and that in itself excites me and makes me want to spend more and more time with HIM. How else can I know the plans HE has for me unless I spend time with HIM?

Matthew 6: 5 – 8 "When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites. They love to stand in the synagogues and on the street corners and pray so people will see them. I tell you the truth, they already have their full reward. When you pray, you should go into your room and close the door and pray to your Father who cannot be seen. Your Father can see what is done in secret, and he will reward you. "And when you pray, don't be like those people who don't know God. They continue saying things that mean nothing, thinking that God will hear them because of their many words. Don't be like them, because your Father knows the things you need before you ask him.

LISTEN: I spend as much time listening to God as I do praying to Him. Actually, here lately, I think I am listening more!!

Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God.

SERVE: I have found my greatest joy in serving others and expecting nothing in return. I take that back…I do humbly desire GOD to be glorified through it. I truly believe that you don’t find your true purpose in life until you learn to follow Jesus’ example and serve to bring HIM the honor and glory HE so willingly deserves!

Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven."

BE CONTENT: Be content with who you are and don’t compare yourself with anyone else (spiritually, physically, financially, etc.) This is one of my favorite verses:

…be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."So we say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"
Hebrews 13:5-6

Thanks Robin...I enjoy the online study!
